Korean size chart: clothes and shoes
Korean shops use millimeters for shoes and numbers like 95, 100 or 55 for clothes. Convert them to the sizes you know.

Women's clothing sizes
Women's clothes in Korea use two systems. Older and department-store labels use 44 / 55 / 66 / 77 / 88; newer labels use the bust size in cm, 85 / 90 / 95 / 100 / 105.

Men's clothing sizes
Men's tops are labeled by chest size in cm. Many Korean brands run about one size smaller than US brands, so if you are between sizes, go up.

Pants and jeans
Pants are usually sized by waist in inches (28, 30, 32…), the same as in the US, or sometimes in cm (e.g. 76 = about 30 in). To convert: inches × 2.54 = cm. Free-size (프리사이즈, “FREE”) items usually fit Korean sizes 55–66 for women or 95–100 for men.
Shopping tips
- Online shops list the garment's real measurements (실측 사이즈) in cm: chest width (가슴단면), length (총장), sleeve (소매길이). Measure a shirt you own and compare. Note that “chest width” is half the chest, measured flat.
- Exchanges and returns (교환·반품) on Korean shopping sites often cost a shipping fee of a few thousand won, so it pays to check measurements first.
- Shoe brands differ by up to half a size. If a store lets you, try both your usual size and 5 mm up.
